![]() With that many people and just about as many dishes, this should be a standard first-order that should be easily placed. Only weird thing was that, even though we had 12 people and the menu boasts “unlimited” food, the waitstaff wasn't pleased when we got there and asked for one of every plate to start off. The bloody mary was also nice and spicy, but not overpowering. Almost everything I ate was delicious, especially the Cuban sandwich, duck hash, and fried chicken tacos. ![]() Plates are more like tapas, with just 3-4 servings per plate, but you can continu e to order to your heart's desire. It's unlimited food and drink for $40, which is definitely worth it if you come hungry. Old review: I was shocked to find that this place that I've been walking by for years has such a robust brunch. Avoid at all costs - clearly there are some hygiene issues at this restaurant. UPDATE : It's a shame because I loved this place, but among my party of 10 dinner guests, 4 of us got sick from eating here. I don't expect to return here of my own choice … – show There were some standout items, such as the churros, the breakfast nachos, and the dumplings that DID have flavour but enough of the menu items were mediocre to awful at best & so the few standout items weren't enough to save the menu. I actually started to worry that I may have had COVID since I couldn't taste anything. Rotating seasonally to capitalize on the freshest ingredients, Executive Chef Derek Watson's Pan-Latin American inspired menu is an easy choice for any evening (or brunch) out. Not bad flavour, not that the flavour was off, ZERO flavour. Tico, by James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Schlow, brings bold Pan-Latin American flavors to DC's 14th Street neighborhood. The same was true for the polenta, it literally had 0 flavour to it. The mac & cheese was the single worst I've ever had easy mac at home had more flavour than what we were given. Order the brisket tacos or choose the feed the whole table option and enjoy the delicious foods that will just keep coming. But several of the menu items never should've made it past the kitchen. Executive chef Michael Schlow offers a fun atmosphere with music, excellent drinks and a menu of Latin American influenced food. The server suggested simply bringing one of everything out which we liked the idea of & agreed to. Not the most ideal kind of brunch but several places around DC seem to do this. My group & I came here for Sunday brunch, a $29 fixed price brunch bu ffet with a set menu. ![]() Additionally, there were several leaks in the ceiling & water was dripping around the restaurant. ![]() The server & staff was generally quite friendly & accommodating but my party & I had to continuously ask for the same things over & over (we asked 3 different staff for serving spoons given it's tapas style and only the 4th person we asked made it happen). Exceptionally mediocre restaurant & most of the food was an embarrassment. ![]()
